Scouting SongTune: Clementine)
Far away in jolly England, Baden-Powell lived long ago. It was there on Brownsea Island, the Scouting dream began to grow.
First the troop had only twenty. Now in millions number they. Oh, that Baden-Powell could see what Scouting has become today.
First a Joey, then a Cub Scout on to the Scout Troop then Venturers, Then from Venturers up to Rovers Round the world our numbers grow.
Now we gather here at meetings, in mobs, packs, troops or crews. Learning skills to help all boys reach their potential as great men. |
